In this post, Glynsky mumbled something about the difficulty finding music online. He wrote the following balderdash:
One of the difficulties of downloading music is that unless you know exactly what you want, or are prepared to spend hours trawling iTunes, Spotify or whoever, it is difficult to acquaint yourself with the lesser known material of any given musician, particularly if their 'albums' are not easily found or still available.
This is yet another example of Glynsky having no clue what the internet is about.
Dear Glynsky, let me put it in bold letters for you:
The Internet connects people, not merely computers
Side note to Glynsky:
Most of those websites have "playlists" and/or "stations", where you can get that "radio experience". Or you go to www.pandora.com, which is all about discovering music, about serendipity.
But the internet is so much more than commercial web sites.
An obvious place to start looking for music is BitTorrents at ThePirateBay. That gives you approximately 164 files. Another torrent search engine, torrentz.eu, gives you 147 torrents.
That should be enough for exploring the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival on your own.
But Glynsky - unknowingly, of course - gave the clue to the real internet as he continued:

But Glynsky - unknowingly, of course - gave the clue to the real internet as he continued:
Ages ago it was also thus, but then you had no choice other than to exploit an assistant in the local record store -
Surprise, surprise, in his early days Glynsky was able to ask a person for help. Or, as he puts it, "exploit" someone.
Well, here's news for you, Glynsky, there are people online.
People you can ask. People, who gladly share their knowledge.
This is the core of the internet, and much older than the world wide web.
Let's take Glynsky's chosen issue, Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR), and have a look, shall we?
A search at duckduckgo for mailinglist+"creedence clearwater revival" leads us to http://www.creedence-online.net/forum/.
That looks like a good place to ask. The forum is active and even has a topic:
Now let's see, what the human made web directory dmoz.org has about CCR.
A few links stand out:
Matt's Creedence Clearwater Revival Page - Includes images, chat, forum, sound clips and guitar tablatures.
VH1.com: Creedence Clearwater Revival - Includes a biography, album reviews, news, discography, links, and discussion.
The Creedence OnLine - Includes history, discography, lyrics, tablatures, MIDIs, online chart, forum and images.
The River Rising - Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Fogerty fan site. Home of The River Rising mailing list.
And dmoz, at the bottom of the page, links to a newsgroup, dedicated to CCR:
Stay tuned,

Very useful ER if:
1)one knows how to look
2)one knows where to look
3)one knows in advance what one is looking for - you may recall that when you and I were 'dj'ing with the Shrink the choice was so great and there was nothing to give inspiration. Sifting lumps of vinyl allows thought and time.
4)the lonely joy of peering at a screen all day is akin to wanking.
By the way, exploitation at the local store depended on how pretty she was.
Oh boy,
Do I have to point you to music related newsgroups?
Or did you recover the knowledge how to use a search engine?
The main point, which you did not get again, is:
Communicate with people online
Instead of browsing commercial sites like spotify, which we did on the Shrink's machine.
Mme Glynskette: Please hit him over the head. His brain needs a reset.

You are still missing my point.
How does communicating with a screen help me decide what I want to hear? now, tomorrow or anytime?
The advantage of spotify whatever is that I can trawl anything - but it is not inspirational. It is just a tool.
I agree that if today I want more on only CCR I could waste 5 hours on dedicated sites. Thanks, can't wait.
Sorting the music for Mme's party to come has been fun, but then it was interaction with the band (real breathing people) and my own library.
I don't think we will ever undersatnd each other on this. I am happy and comfortable in my (real not reel) world. You have forgotten it for an LED. Enjoy.
Are you really that ... thick?
In newsgroups, on mailinglists, and forums you are NOT communicating "with a screen", but with "real breathing people" (through a screen).
Too hard to understand? Get help.

Well Glynsky, you learn something new every day. This is Smiles writing and not a screen. I am alive and breathing.
