Happy 130th Birthday Edward Hopper

Dear Reader,

Are you into paintings? And maybe in New York?
Then you certainly know and can celebrate Edward Hopper, today is his 130th birthday.

You can celebrate by leaving the city for a change. Rent a car, travel up the Hudson, the 9 / 9A is a nice route. You'll pass small picturesque towns like Hastings-on-Hudson and Dobbs Ferry. Cross the Hudson on the Tappan Zee Bridge and leave at the first exit for Nyack.

That is Hopper's birthplace

and his childhood home is now the Edward Hopper House Art Center.
Their site shows ways to get here by public transportation and lists current events.

My favorite painting by Hopper?

Nighthawks, of course. Wikipedia has a great list of his work here.

Enjoy the trip,
