Or St. Florian's Day, and that is the patron saint of firefighters. Since the guy was Roman, Glynsky might like him too.
What ever you prefer, today is a good day to hug your firefighters. Kudos to the men and women of the FDNY.
"New Yorks's Bravest" certainly scored a lot of points against the all time rival, NYPD, lately.
After the police brutality and many illegal arrests, it will take a long time, until the NYPD will deserve its nickname "New York's Finest" again.
But back to the good guys. To the ladies with those calendars:

ER's hovel is approaching the final run with just the bathroom to finish off. As usual at this stage, everyone is getting tetchy in the anticipation of snagging lists, and the sooner the builder leaves the sooner my life will return.
Mind you, this could be bad news - it means a day closer to ER clumping around upstairs with some accolyte or other. Must oil the springs today.
I am sure that ER will be a useful and welcome addition to the household. Imagine what he can teach you to do with a computer.
