Spartacus played a roll here at diablog early on, when Glynsky and I debated the late Tony Curtis, who starred in it.
In the movie Spartacus' followers try to hide him by in unison claiming: "I am Spartacus". This scheme is revived online now.
Probably you read about the young Paul Chambers, who could not fly to his girl, the airport was closed because of bad weather. Out of frustration and to inform is girl, who is reading his postings, he wrote online:
“You’ve got a week to get your s**t together, otherwise I’m blowing the airport sky high!!”For this, he was arrested, dragged in front of a court, convicted and now his appeal was denied. Quick question: Are we safer now, Judges?
In response, thousands of people are posting the same thing now, all labeling their post "IamSpratacus". Let's see, how many arrests the British police will make. And how far they are willing to travel to do so in my case for example.
Our "Idiot of the Day" Award goes to the judges, who have obviously neither a sense of humor, nor common sense, nor knowledge of the internet.
And for the ones, who prefer to be Brian, here you go:
Stay humorous and sensible,

This has been a great example of the total madness of our Legal system.
How the appeal by Paul Chambers was turned down we will never know.
However, for once the power of the Internet and those that 'Tweet' for a living really impressed me.
I understand the Police have too many Uk 'Twitterers'to arrest, so
Interpol will concentrate on their behalf those who were foolish enough to attempt it from abroad...
No doubt Glynsky and I will feel guilty enough to visit you during your incarceration in Stammheim or wherever you end up.
Dear Reader,
As you know from our Q&A neither do we use smileys here, nor those *lol* things.
But there is one newer smiley, that I like, and it will be on our medal for the Idiot of the Day:
m(
It is called *facepalm*. If you are not sure what that means, look it up in Wikipedia.
